Recently, Ma'anshan Power Supply Company successfully replaced two mineral oil transformers on the 10kV Yujin 6407 line located on Hudong Road in the city with new plant oil transformers. This is the first distribution transformer pole using plant oil insulation in our province to be put into operation.
It is understood that most of the transformer insulation oil used in China's power system is mineral insulation oil, which belongs to non renewable petroleum resources and has a low ignition point, making it difficult to meet the increasingly high fire performance requirements. The plant oil insulation transformer put into operation by Ma'anshan Power Supply Company this time is a new type of distribution transformer. The insulation oil comes from natural crops and is a high ignition point, environmentally friendly, renewable liquid insulation medium. The ignition point is above 300 ℃, and the natural degradation rate reaches over 90%. In the increasingly scarce situation of petroleum resources, plant insulation oil has become a green substitute for mineral insulation oil.
At present, Ma'anshan Power Supply Company has specially formulated a monitoring plan for the operating conditions of newly installed vegetable oil insulated distribution transformers, sharing relevant information with equipment manufacturers, and preparing insulation braces for the promotion of this type of green and environmentally friendly transformers.
